Yes, these type of people are very interesting. I think it is their way of looking at things that made them overcome adversity. I have met people who had it all, also people who lost it all. Rarely did I come across someone who made peace with what happened and grew from there. I think that a lot of high status people are interested in this precise type of individuals. Because it's easy to grow from something, it's harder to grow from nothing. And a high status person will always feel the need to learn from people like that. Status is not a bank account as much as strong character backed up by kindness, humility and a keen sense of observation.
