There are over 7 billion people in the world today. Finding love is like searching for a needle in the haystack. Maybe your true soulmate (if there is such a thing, sometimes I think there is, sometimes I don’t want to care anymore) doesn’t even exist in the same city in which you are, maybe it’s on another continent.
All this plethora of virtual people makes you think there are big chances for that special someone to be hidden somewhere in between. What this search of the other half is showing is the need for genuine bonding, for a true feeling of belonging in someone’s life, to feel you are understood and cared for.
The thing which consumes us is this intellectual and spiritual hunger we experience, a need that I’ve drawn in this particular piece of art. This constant hunger for love, in the vast circles of people, having feelings of frustration, dispair, numbness,confusion, all of this is part of our existence here on Earth.
Is this quest everlasting? Can we ever find our true love? Will the hunger ever stop?
