I arrived safely in Denmark. The trip with the plane felt quite amazing, considering the fact that I had to overcome a big fear about flying alone. I love how the city lights look from above. I stared at the stars. I could see the light of the moon reflected on the clouds. I felt utterly small on this big planet. I bet most passengers did not have these thoughts, but for me...it was interesting to look at the flight from a more spiritual perspective. Look at all of the small dots of light: piles of emotions. Someone loves, someone is joyous, someone is sad, someone is angry. Down there, in all of the darkness, there are millions of people who think their issues are the biggest in the world....
I felt a lot of emotions upon landing. I felt grateful because I had the luck to meet random strangers in the airport who would help me out. I exceeded maximum weight on my luggage and I had to open the troller in the airport and make another package extra. A guy saw that I struggled with carrying 2 big trollers so he helped. He then helped me remove excess stuff (books...yes...the extra 8 kg was because I took books...pam pam) and helped me pay with wrapping it up. I was amazed, it looked like he was sent from above to help me out. A complete stranger! These moments help me regain trust in the kindness of people...
There were also lots of couples with babies waiting to get on this flight. Cute squishy chubby babies. And there was a particular thing I noticed about a guy with a son and a daughter. Although it was crowded, the kids were all over the place, he was enjoying it. He played with the kids, laughed, smile, and goofed around. I looked at this guy and said to myself: what a good father to his children, I hope I will have someone like that by my side one day. It made me smile and also get a bit melancholic as I feel I had to go through so much adversity alone although I would have loved to have someone by my side who would genuinely want to share a life with me even when I faced adversity. I am proud by myself that I am so strong on my own, yet my heart melts when I see couples who make it work together.
I soon realized that each person has their journey and although I am alone in Denmark I remain hopeful that every foot has the right shoe.
The city is beautiful. I am lucky that I have forests, lakes, spa and swimming pool, libraries and all sorts of great stuff around. The weather is tricky, it can be rainy now and sunshine and rainbows 10 minutes later. I love the songs of the seagulls, the cleanliness and the overall chill vibe of the people. I am happy that everything was ok. The baby orchid was a bit squished but it survived. If I knew my books would cost me extra money and extra hassle.....I would have taken them anyway lol. I cannot be in my element without having something to read. I also made sure I took all of my photography gear as I am eager to explore and capture what I feel...in images.
I thought I would post this little update as when I share more personal stuff here I feel less alone in the process, like I am bringing someone with me along this journey toward my dream: the Hive community which has been a nice mental and emotional refuge for me , for which I am deeply grateful and thankful.
