I have surpassed my personal record when it comes to pyrography. This piece took me 12 hours to finish and time passed by quite fast when working at it.

I have a senior friend very dear to me. I have made this for her as a gift to show her appreciation for being my friend for so many years. I do not have loads of friends so the few that I have are very dear to me and I care about them a lot.

They are spread in various corners of this Planet and we are always so happy when we get to see each other. Here is a short video of the piece:

She is an Aquarius, just like me, born on 3rd of february. I am on 2nd. So we never forget about each other's birthday. I have put the constellation of the Aquarius and the date of her birth along with some very lovely floral design.

She is indeed an awesome person and I wanted her to have a bit of me in her way back home. I thought that she will appreciate cutting onions on a nice piece of decorated wood. Haha. She lives in Ireland, taking care of her nephews and she is a great person. Being a senior, you would not expect her to be out of the ordinary. But she is. She is open minded and she is not like the majority of the elderly in my country. She is young at heart and she is not afraid to explore and try new things. I like her, she inspires me.

I loved doing this piece for her and to my surprise, she has no intention to use this cutting board to chop carrots. She plans to hang it as a painting. Haha. I guess this is what happens when you make wood look too pretty, it no longer serves the purpose of kitchen accessory and it becomes a living object in itself.

Have a blessed day and toodle loo!
