Be like the tree. Just be. Soak up the water and nutrients that come to you. Be still and be nurtured. Take whatever comes whether it be wind or sun or rain or snow. When the leaves grow, let them grow. When they fall, let them fall. Don’t try to argue with the way things are. Be content. Don’t try to move. The tree doesn’t strive to do anything. It sits where it is rooted in the ground, and gets taken care of. Its limbs may blow in the wind or they may stay still, but the tree does not complain or argue. It just is. And it grows. Day by day and night by night. Blossoms come and blossoms go, but the tree remains content. It is unmoved and stands firm. It does what it was meant to do without any questions asked. It provides shade. It provides a nest for birds and squirrels. It provides a perch for creatures to rest on and to look out from. The tree never questions where it is or why it is where it is. It stands there silent, growing, and just being. And if it is criticized, it takes no offense. And if it is complimented, it takes no thought of it. It finds its worth in just being what it is and what it was created to be. The tree does not worry about tomorrow. The tree does not worry about yesterday. It simply deals with the day it is in. And the tree does this till the end of its days. No matter what comes at it, it keeps giving for as long as it can.
