Pusto 'Amnesia' concert in Vilnius

After releasing our post-punk album, and performing it in Tallinn - it was time to play it in Vilnius.

Post-punk is a genre that emerged in the late 1970s as a reaction to the raw simplicity of punk rock. It incorporates a broader range of influences—such as electronic music, dub, funk, folk—often featuring experimental sounds, moody atmospheres, and introspective or political lyrics.

Pusto originated in Vilnius. The sound of the band is greatly influenced by the lead vocalists mixed Ukrainian and American immigrant identity, which shaped the groups vision and sound. The music draws its inspiration from the underground rock and electronic scene of the 80’s and 90’s, nostalgic synth sounds, and life in the post-soviet cities.

Making 'Amnesia' we experimented with the sound quite a bit. For example we used sitar in Check Mate, garmoshka in Bezdna. I really love some bass&synths combinations(example Prijde Lito). Also it’s very interesting how we introduced more folk elements. Many guitar melodies are very dreamy - takes you to some trance state. Your Mirror feels like the most inspired by Baltic land. We use 3 different languages in this album.

This time we had a show in Sodas2123 venue(great place!). It's been more than a year since our last show in Vilnius. Naturally we were really excited.

The energy from the crowd was so good, it made the whole performance so fun!

Already thinking about doing more concerts, possibly in other countries as well :)
