A few years ago I worked in a location that had an infestation of Brown Recluse Spiders.
If you are unfamiliar with this species, they are venomous and like to hide out in dark places. Not very comforting to hear, I know!
There was a storage shed where my company kept extra desks, tables, and chairs. When we turned on the lights, these spiders were all over. They are timid, so they quickly scattered and hid in dark places. But I was able to take a photo of this one before it ran. I noticed later that it was missing a leg on the right side.
I informed management of the peril associated with the infestation. Rather than hire an exterminator, however, they told us to "just be careful."
