With the recent lovely weather it's hard not to go fishing again, heh.
This was this evenings location. Three years ago it was a great spot, we used to call it Pike paradise for obvious reasons. During the last 2 years it wasn't so great, hardly ever getting anything there. But ... we thought about visiting it again and it seems the fish are back!
This killing machine was the first one to come out. It put out a great fight!
One of his younger cousins decided to take a breath of fresh air as well.
And then my mate got this large perch.
We decided to celebrate with a couple of beers. They were by Belhaven. These guys are brewing for supermarkets and I thought I'd give their new craft range a go after being disappointed with their old stuff... Should have just listened to my gut and ignored their beers. These were bad... not in the 'not-great' sense, I had no expectations of that sort from them anyway, but they were just plain bad. Sweet, malty, artificial flavourings. Didn't finish them.
My mate got another 2 smaller perch and I got a 3rd pike to end the evening.
Aaand it was time to leave as it was getting dark. Here's a bad panorama shot :D
