Hey Friends,
A lot of people have been falling for the recent Ledger phishing scams and so I wanted to do my part to help spread the word about these malicious attacks!! Ledger has been the target of a lot of phishing attacks the last 24 hours stating that "Ledger has had a breach" and that people need to download the new Ledger Live app to be safe.
The links in these emails take you to "Legder.com"... not "Ledger.com" though. An easy mistake for the eye to miss as they look similar and sound the same phonetically.
Here's a screenshot of what the email looks like:
Getting an email like that can be scary thinking your funds are at risk and the panic that sets in can cause people to overlook small details like misspellings. So just a reminder to always check official channels such as the official company website, twitter page etc. before downloading any links or giving anyone access to your keys.
This one almost got me for a second and so I sincerely hope they haven't gotten any of you either! Be safe out there fam and remember to never trust - always verify!
