We cats are known for being snuggly and cute, but sometimes, whether intentionally or not, we have been known to bite!
My cousin's human accidentally was bitten when she tried to give a worming pill to him! I know he didn't do it on purpose, but he reacted to the pill being pushed into his mouth and into his throat. His fang punctured her thumb just on the inside where her joint is. Being stubborn as she is (sometimes humans are-you know!) she figured she'd be just fine. Problem was that she wasn't! She ended up last year spending 4 days in the hospital with several doctors! I remember her saying something about infectious disease doctor? Well, anyway, I heard that it was really, really bad! She was really lucky that the medicine they gave her worked as well as it did.
Soooooo, the moral of this story is........if you get bit..........GO to the doctor! We cats have so much bacteria in our saliva that you usually will end up infected. I know I won't purposely bite my humans, but accidents do happen!
