My Expectation Comes Out To Be Disappointment
I never thought of it to be this way. I was thinking it would end up in my favour, but I was wrong. What does it look like when you count your eggs and later discover it hatched just below your expectations? So, bad, right?
Being a teacher is not an easy job, but I have taken it as my best priority. I have a passion to teach. Some people always say the reward of teachers is in heaven, but this is a bad statement. We all have to receive our rewards here on earth before we see that of the heavens.
While in school, I asked my students to come for Saturday's lesson. To be specific, “mathematics lesson”. They all agreed to come, but did not ask if there was going to be payment. I, on the other hand, did not tell them they would be paying. At least, they were not children, and they knew what they should do. I had counted the students initially and had calculated a tangible amount of money they would pay me at the end of the lesson. I was so happy after seeing the students' population.
Likewise, I had calculated what I was going to buy with the money, as I was totally stranded in the house. Likewise, I had even gone to one woman who is selling wholesale to collect some items. Not only that, but I collected items that were worth the amount I had calculated.
Now, it's Saturday and I needed to go to the lesson when the unexpected happened. The lesson was supposed to start at exactly 9am. I had my bath and got dressed up. When it was 10 minutes to 9, the rain started. It started drizzling and within a few minutes, it started heavily. I was hoping it would stop soon, but the more I hoped, the more it rained. The heavy rain fell throughout that day.

My mood was totally changed, and their parents began to call that their wards may not be able to make it as it was still raining. I got seriously angry and did not know what to do. I went inside and slept off after thinking of my life and the way I would get money to pay for the items I had bought on credit. Likewise, I had promised to pay her when I was back from the lesson, and now there was no lesson and no money to pay her. What should I tell her, or where should I get the money from? This was the question left in my head.
Meanwhile, my compound has a back gate which I was sneaking through. I was unable to show my face to this woman or else, I would be disgraced. I had full confidence when I was collecting the items that I would get the money, but see what the rain had done to me?
That day went by, and the next day also passed by. I thought sneaking through the back door would save me, not knowing that it would be the beginning of my nightmare.
On the third day, I was passing through the back door after being dressed up for work when the unexpected happened. I was smiling within myself that I must dodge this woman until it's Saturday before I repay her money. As I opened the gate, I saw her passing and I was in a situation where I would not escape her. I immediately greeted her “good morning ma”, while in a state of anxiety. She replied, “good morning”, without asking for her money. This means I was just afraid of what would not happen.
