Some people want to be able to fly, or jump really long distances, or be the strongest person on the planet. Some like the idea of being able to read minds, or see through walls, or jump through time and space.
Me? I want to be able to reach deep into people's hearts and heal their pain.
Said another way, I wish I had the ability to change how people feel about themselves and their relationship to the world around them.
Ideally, I'd help them to heal themselves rather than being the all-powerful one who did it for them. And I do have this superpower but the process is slower than I'd like and I can only do this with a small number of people at a time.
If I could help more people to truly, deeply love and appreciate themselves far more quickly than I'm able to now then the positive ripple effect out into the world would be astounding.
Who needs addictions when you have nothing to escape?
Who needs to lash out with violence if you have no reason to hate?
Who needs to accumulate ludicrous amounts of material wealth using slave labour to get it if you already feel complete?
The list of positive side effects from more and more people feeling whole, safe and loved are astronomical.
Domestic violence disappears. Getting crazy drunk and having endless amounts of unprotected sex that so often lead to all manner of STIs and unwanted pregnancies and then unplanned abortions, they all end.
Murders related to the entire illegal drug trade across all nations end; No one needs to get high (or chill out) because no one needs to get out of their body - their bodies already feel good as a result of them feeling good about their life.
The deliberate slaughter of endangered animals for their valuable parts is no longer a thing. Neither is the caging and force-feeding of huge numbers of farm animals because a caring heart would never choose to be responsible for any part of this.
The list of things that would change radically and quickly would be astonishing. With kind, brave hearts who know how to love without abandon humans naturally do things like clean up rather than pollute our waterways. They We naturally reduce our waste and unnecessary use of plastic. We contribute in meaningful ways to help other people.
And more than that, we create beautiful things, we play, we joyfully express ourselves.
When we reduce the fear in the hearts of men humans and they we flourish.
