Beneath the harsh, fluorescent lights,
I browse the shelves of water bottles.
Each one is the same,
Yet they all promise different things:
"Clean!", "Refreshing!", "Pure!".
I can't tell which is which,
And I don't really care.
I just want to drink,
To fill my stomach and quench my thirst.
This is all there is,
In this city of concrete and steel.
No rivers, no lakes, little rain.
Just us, and our precious water filtration shop.
