Hi Steemit friends!
I just discovered Steemit and I'm stoked - kind of like how I felt after going to Burning Man the first time (OMG - Burning Man - have you been to Burning Man? It's, like, AMAZING!)
So introductions introduced, let me be the first to introduce my second paragraph. I'll place it here. How do you do?
I'm Mike, a writer, documentary filmmaker, wilderness guide, travel bug, gamer of older games (because they're way cheaper if you buy them years after they come out) and avid mushroom hunter. There's a lot more about me that I'm sure you'd be thrilled to know about, but I feel like I should direct you to Facebook for that - but I kinda feel like directing people to Facebook via Steemit isn't Kosher. Besides, aren't we all fucking sick of Facebook anyway? I think that's why we're here. Moving on.
I just came out with a book (that's not why I'm on steemit, I'm just really excited about it) and I produced the audiobook for it, WHICH, was a lot more difficult that just reading your book outloud in a closet by yourself. It was kind of a spiritual experience, like the walking through fire kind. Here's the cover.
It's about a virus that kills everyone with an IQ of 84. Our politicians are all still alive and very eager to better the situation.
I'm excited to provide content for people here because you all seem to actually appreciate good content - right? like it's destiny that we met each other.
I'm also in love. With Planet Earth. She fucking rocks. The two books I've written are very different (one's a young adult fantasy the other is political satire - yeah, different) BUT they still maintain strong thematic ties in relationship with the natural world. That's my aim and mission in life is to educate people about the planet and that it is a modality for healing as well as a larger metaphor for our own inner worlds.
Another big passion of mine is photography so I'll plan on posting as much as we're all comfortable with (200/hr seem good, right? Or are we all stuck with the 4 a day? I'll start with four and go from there).
Looking forward to exploring more and meeting more. I'm new so introduce yourself - let's be friends!
