Greetings
This is our weekly showcase where we highlight posts in this community shared here in the last seven days. These are the posts that have impressed us at COM the most.
Now, let's get into this week's showcase.
@emreal - How Food Almost Landed Me Into Trouble
You know men in suits na, he added, ehen, that flier is for an invitation to our ministry, come and be blessed, this and that, at that point my mind already moved far from him and I was just wishing, he finishes what he was saying and leave then while leaving he said, there would be enough food and drinks ..
Ah! Food? When I heard that, my peace was restored, I checked the flier and the program was that very evening. I went inside took my bath and wore one of my finest suites. When the time reached I was amongst those that arrived early.
He didn't get to eat the food, that is much painful than what actually happened when he went for the invitation he got.

@sperosamuel15 - The wonderful True Untrue Tale (Story)
In Nigeria here, one of the tales I heard while growing up us about what it takes to be a medical doctor.
The problem with these tales is that they always sound so good to be true leaving you no room for doubt and they always tell us this when we are very young and won't have much questions since we haven't fully grasped what it entails as regards to how the world works.
How is an untrue tale true? He cleared that question up with his COM post and you will also get to find out about his future plans regarding such tales.

@ovey10 - Every Disappointment Is A Blessing
You need to see how I hurriedly clear my room Sunday morning, I washed up all the clothes and even ironed some of them. These are the things I couldn't do for two weeks at home. I swept up my room vigorously and arranged my shoes very properly, I was so tired after the chores but I refused to rest instead I started mopping the whole house, I mopped my room and mopped the parlor as if I will never mop it again. I withdrew the small left over money in my account and bought room freshener, me that normally I will stay in the house for more than two months without a freshener but this girl made me perform miracles on miracles.
That title must have come off with an imagination in your head but he took us on another direction after his long talks about not being played by women in previous COM posts.

@marajah - Pregnant women and their issues (True story)
The husband's friends encouraged him to search for cooked egg for his woman. This time, I went with them in search for cooked egg. We went to one of their neighbour's house, they told us they don't have cooked egg. The husband asked them to cook the egg but they referred us to another of their neighbour that sells egg. But they promised to cook the egg for us if their neighbour should fail. We walked straight to the house, thank God, they have more than expected. Instead of buying one or two, the husband bought 15 eggs with the hope that the wife will eat and get tired.
Yeah, they got 15 boiled eggs for our main character but you'd be shocked what she used only one for. Someone else finished the rest 14 eggs, like what?!

@supernova004 - BITTER NONSENSE
Almost as I had greeted her and she settled in on a sofa she called me, "Supernova, come! Go and buy me Dr. Agnes dental teeth powder from down the road. I was pissed. Was it not the same route she took back home? I took the money and dashed out.
As I got outside my compound, I saw a group of my friends playing. They called me and said, "Oboy come make we play. The game too sweet." I could not resist so I resolved to play with them for a short while. Before I realized myself, almost an hour had gone by.
Bitter nonsense indeed, but he got to save 10 more healthy lives for himself... Not total nonsense if you ask me.
@mercysugar - AFRICAN PARENTS CAN BE DRAMATIC AT TIMES
As me and my friend were discussing, she went further to tell how one of her father's uncles came to visit them in their house and asked her why she was in her parent's house after college when the people she gained admission with at the same time were already at their national service place, and that's how her father had to call all their family members to a meeting to beg her daughter to tell them the truth if she didn't graduate. This lady in question just had to start laughing in the meeting because their assumptions were just funny to her, and when she told me about them, I couldn't stop laughing too.
A family meeting for an assumption that could have been easily sorted out by her parents, it's even more shocking to listen to them ask the big weird question.
