Invito a participar a @isgledysduarte.
Hello my beautiful people of Holos&Lotus, I find myself full of anxieties to be able to participate in this conversation entitled Conversatorio. Ya, Hasta aquí! From friend
@damarysvibra and I would like to relate something that happened to someone very close to my family, she is a fighter, tireless woman who has worked all her life for her children but she said Ya, hasta aquí! with a situation that I will tell you about next.
Brigith is a lady of more than 50 years old, she became a widow at the age of 35, being alone with her three children, economically she was the one who gave the face to her family, her children learned to work from a very young age, the youngest of them all accepted that he only liked video games, motorcycles and drinking liquor. Brigith just to see her son happy, she would do anything, she worked very hard to buy his whims, even though the economy is not very good, she worked hard to have a good livelihood.
Her two oldest children, when they decided to leave Venezuela to a European country, Brigith was with them until they got on the plane.
She had many mixed feelings because on the one hand she wanted her children to have a prosperous life, something they could not easily achieve here, and on the other hand, she felt that her children were abandoning her even though her youngest son was still with her. Time passed and Brigith came to have a moderately large bakery, where her work efforts were even greater, every day she encouraged her son to learn a trade within the company, but he only thought about the next weekend party, what clothes to buy and everything else.
Some events happened, such as variations in the main box of the bakery, some accounts were not paying, the debts were too high, the suppliers were at the door all the time, there was no yield in the production due to lack of raw material, in short, a series of situations that were driving Brigith crazy, to the point that she only had comfort in talking with animals (dogs and cats) and she had more than three dogs, two cats, and a couple of parrots at home.
Brigith's situation with her son was not the best, she was having some discomfort in her heart that was not very normal, as well as some episodes of numbness in her face and arms that were making her sick, and the last straw was that her son often stole money from her, and that's it, no more.
On several occasions sitting her son down and explaining to him the efforts of earning money at home so that he could simply take what he wanted to squander it was not the right thing to do and she decided to take strict measures in managing her resources. Brigith knew that she was partly to blame for her son acting this way, as her fear of being left alone was greater than any fault her son committed.
Brigith realized that giving everything to her children was a mistake, she accepted that children at any time in their lives move away from their parents, that we are responsible for their good upbringing so that they become good men and women.
Brigith encouraged her son to make an effort to learn one or several trades, so that in life he would know how to defend himself if someday she was absent, and her son was maturing in that aspect, he was learning many things that he was already able to manage and support himself economically, Brigith fired her son two weeks ago, he left the country, along with his siblings.
Brigith feels happy in spite of her sadness for having been left alone, she feels proud of having achieved that her son has been fulfilled, that her son is a visionary, a dreamer and knows that wherever he is he will fight to achieve what he wants.
My friends, that was Brigith's story, and I know that many women in the world go through similar situations, and many of us still continue to accept everything from our children out of fear and not setting limits.
I invite @isgledysduarte to participate.
