Well, the world may be going to hell in a handbasket but life still goes on it appears. Seems a bit perverse somehow for me to be jamming out to Jimi and fiddling with photos while people like @zirochka are under siege.
Spent way too much of this morning watching videos of Russian armored vehicles exploding, eventually had to find something a little more pleasant to look at. Opted for going back to the Rocky Mountains, they never disappoint.
Wound up back at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park and couldn't think of a better excuse for a #tbt. Hell, I even took these photos on a Thursday, albeit in August 2017.
Up in the mountains there you're pretty well cut off from the outside world, no internet or cell signal. Sounds pretty nice right about now.
Well, nice until you come back out of the mountains and discover that things haven't gotten any better in your absence. On my last visit there I was greeted with the news of the Charlottesville car attack upon my return to the world.
Didn't really expect things to get better but I wasn't expecting that either. Now that 2022 seems intent on topping 2020's record for insanity, I'd be afraid to drop off the grid like that again, who knows what you'd come back to.
Still, spending your time fly fishing in a place like this wouldn't be a bad way to while away the apocalypse. Now where's my fishing pole...?
Stay safe out there y'all
