Presidential election years are always leap years here in the US. Guess we need an extra day to deal with all bullshit that comes with that. In 293 days we will once again have the opportunity to engage in the masquerade that we have a choice of overlords. But you don't have to take my word for it.
It's looking more and more like we're going to have to 'choose' between an old white dude whose main argument for electing him is that the other guy would destroy the country or an old white dude whose main argument for electing him is that the other guy would destroy the country. One has done a stellar job of screwing over his supporters, the other has done an unimpeachable job of fucking over his supporters.
We The People... could do without a sequel. Once was enough, thanks. If they were to put None Of The Above on the ballot this year they'd win by a landslide. Probably be the best president we've ever had too.
While the rest of us are just trying to get by and maybe not die, the ruling class has elevated politics to the level of Nobody speak, nobody gets choked. With the riotous conclusion of its predecessor, you know the sequel is going to have to be even more out of control.
Should be rather lively. Y'all keep your powder dry and look after one another, you know the ones in charge ain't going to.
