God Save the Queen. Now could somebody please save us from the news coverage of her death? It's turning into a royal pain.
I've not made it across the pond myself, do Brits actually give a damn about the monarchy in this day and age?
I have trouble wrapping my head around the idea or at least the part where people get excited about it. Like how do you rationalize keeping one particular family living in luxury? What exactly did they do to deserve this sort of treatment? What does your average bloke get out of all this?
Not that we haven't had our own peculiar institution here but we gave that up a while back, albeit at gunpoint. Now we just invade someplace whenever we need an expensive and grotesque spectacle.
Wonder if Elton John will rewrite Candle in the Wind again? It'd probably be a bit of a stretch, 70 years is a long time for anything.
Where was I going with this? Hell if I know, these photos have nothing to do with recent events. They're all from my wanderings in Washington DC.
Probably a good point to slide on out of here. Y'all stay safe out there.
