This spring a robin decided to make a nest at the top of one of the posts for the front porch, so naturally I had to take some photos. It was more than a little skittish so I wound up spending a lot of time sitting on the porch with my camera. When I started working on this post my intent was to show some of those photos of the robin on the nest but I got a little distracted. Those photos are still in the works but this post is some of the shots I took while sitting on the porch waiting on the robins to return to the nest.

This second photo is of a nest I discovered in a tree in front of my next door neighbor's house. It was a bit difficult to spot, I had stand on the porch railing to get the right angle to get a decent shot. They seemed to have put a lot more effort into building their nest, they also used it for a good bit longer than the robins used theirs.

I'm pretty sure this third photo is of one of the porch robins, all the birds seemed to like to stop on the power line beside the house and scope things out before they flew any closer which was quite convenient for photos.

Springtime is one of my favorite times of the year, not only is the weather getting warmer but there's all kinds of plants and critters just begging to be photographed. I'm a bit surly that it's winter, although I might be a little happier if I manage to finally get some cardinals in snow photos. Anyways, enjoy these shots of this spring, hopefully they make things seem a little warmer. Also, I'm not much for bird identification so if any of you could help me out with names I'd be much obliged.
