Duck
DUCK
Goose!
Visual puns aside, I was thinking as I edited these photos of all the games we used to play as kids. Do they still teach kids games like 'Duck, Duck, Goose' and Red Rover, 'Stuck in the Mud' and freeze tag? I don't have kids so I have no clue on this but it got me wondering how covid would affect the things we used to do for entertainment. The lockdown put a damper on much of that I imagine but there's definitely in person schooling going on now, I'm wondering if any of the old standards are still around.
The recent news about vaccines for covid is promising but nothing ever gets fixed in a hurry so I reckon we'll all be dealing with its effects for a while still. So how has covid changed kids (and your) forms of entertainment? As a kid my nearest neighbors were the better part of a mile away and my closest classmate was miles away so 'social distancing' was something of the norm but we kinda made up for it at school. This year has been something else, I can't imagine what a kid would make of the tumult and turmoil...
So how many of these 'temporary' measures put in place due to covid do you think will stick around long after covid is gone (assuming that day comes to pass)? I expected masks will be discarded as soon as it is practical, and probably a day or two sooner than that but I definitely wouldn't mind if some of the stuff that moved to being virtual stayed that way :D
My best friend and I like to make bets on things we disagree upon, with the wager always being $1USD...anybody want to wager 1 HIVE that 2021 is wilder than 2020?
