I don't ordinarily post much that falls into the abstract category but I have a soft spot for reflections. Windows, water, it doesn't really matter to me what is doing the reflecting but it almost always catches my attention. This photo is of the reflections of trees overhanging Beargrass Creek in Cherokee Park here in Louisville. I love how the moving water distorts the solid lines of the trees' reflections and almost seems to give an ethereal quality to the trees.
I had an idea earlier in the year to do series on the "Underwater Forests" that I would see in the water while out on adventures but the pandemic and protests have distracted me and this one and a couple others from the beginning of the year are about all I have so far. Do any of you have favorite subject(s) for taking abstract photos of?
