So I wanted to do some more practicing with the camera while it was raining out. I decided to do some shots of just a few of my wonderful wife's owl collection on around the house.
She loves owls, and has assorted owl knickknacks and pictures all over the house. Some have been put away and stored finally because they were getting to be a bit much, even for her.
Some of them creep me out. The creepier ones have been put away, or in rooms I don't see often. I didn't take pictures of those. I don't like them at all.
Anyway, I am still struggling with the manual focus and auto focus is shit. I have read the user manual and followed it to the letter. The camera occasionally gives me a lense error when I turn it on and I have to keep turning it on and off to clear it. I researched up on this and it says it requires a certified service tech to fix it.
Since this is no longer a supported camera by Kodak, I imagine I will eventually just spring for a new camera. I would like to get one with a microscope like setup to take snapshots of my coins and stuff as well.
I also have to start learning to use flash and lighting a lot better as you can see in some of the photos. The glare is bad on some.
Although this is not even close to all of the owls in our house, I wanted to get this quick shoot in and practice some more. I had mentioned it here on the blockchain so thought I better follow through.
Maybe next time we will hit up the creepy owls with a newer camera and you will realize why I despise them. Until then, thanks for stopping by and checking things out.
