Bottom line up front, I want to use this post to apologize for my past behavior under my previous username joerhino@joerhino.

I joined this community some time ago back during the Steem days as joebrochin@joebrochin during a period in my life when my physical health, and eventually my mental health, was in rapid decline. Unfortunately, due to a mental break and poor decisions on my part, I broke some of the community rules and acted in ways that were inappropriate and hurtful under the usernames joerhino@joerhino, itsmrhino@itsmrhino, and heavyness@heavyness.

In the end, I understand my personal challenges still do not justify me being a total dick but felt you should have some context.

So, it is time now to be upfront with you and admit that I left the community under very negative circumstances. However, after receiving a great deal of therapy and medication since that time, I've been able to take steps towards recovery and I wanted to return to this community to make amends and become a positive member once again. However, I was so embarrassed by my horrid behavior that I just wasn’t sure how to do it or if I could do it.

It is understood that my actions have caused harm and mistrust, and for that, I am truly sorry. I also want to admit that I returned to the community under a different username coinjoe@coinjoe without revealing my true identity. I now realize that this was dishonest and unethical behavior, and I want to come clean about my past here on Hive.

I hope that you can find it in your hearts to forgive me and allow me to reintegrate into the community with honesty and accountability. I am committed to following the community guidelines and being a positive and respectful member as well as someone who contributes to the community in anyway I feasibly can as part of my continued therapy and recovery process.

As a demonstration of my commitment to this, I have delegated 279 HP to theterminal@theterminal. This is about what I have found to be the total HP in rewards the joerhino@joerhino account received over time. I will leave the delegation in place for good or unless the community decides I should do something else with the 279 HP.

In addition, until the end of the year, I will be adding vetfunding@vetfunding as a 100% beneficiary on ALL of my posts. This account helps support military veterans from around the world on Hive.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and again, I am truly sorry for my past behavior and deception. Whatever the community decides should be my fate now, I accept and understand.

Sincerely,
Joe
