Dear Diary,

Today started so well but ended up in disaster. I am not sure if I’m scared, hurt, or just embarrassed. Either way I am hiding under my human’s bed whilst I regretfully give an account of today.

The day started perfectly with the sound of brown crunchies hitting in my food bowl. I completed my morning prowl and yowl around the home. I even convinced my human to let me play outside.

When my human opened the door, everything went so wrong. Just as I walked outside, two unleashed dogs jumped out of the neighbor’s car and charged me! The beasts cornered me. In absolute panic, I climbed the wall and fell twice, my claws still hurt. They are shedded and a little torn up.

The neighbor finally pulled away the two big mean beasts. My human did everything she could do to calm me down but I am still hurting a little from the struggle. Do you know what hurts the most? The neighbor human didn’t apologize or to me or my human. Those humans never asked if I was ok, they just grabbed the brainless dogs out if my yard and walked away.

So diary, here I sit under the bed. Nobody can see me or chase me. I will survive. My human will very carefully look outside before she opens the front door again.
