Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to appreciate getting back onto the wagon that I stepped off for a bit: writing more!

Wrangling a Writing Wagon

One of the things that I've done here and there, for various reasons, is slack a little bit on writing the posts that I would like to write! Well, this latest bout is due to Splinterlands, as it was likely in the past lol. I've put my Splinterlands activity on pause, unsure if permanently. It feels good to get back into the writing game, at a better clip than I have been of late!

One of the things that I've really enjoyed is writing 2-3 posts a night, so I can stay well ahead! I know not many people really care about keeping a posting streak going, but at this point I want to see what I can produce and how long I can do that consistently without missing a day. It's a bit of a personal challenge for me, and one that I find intriguing. I know that it's also important not to post a bunch of junk, not that my posts are worthy of any type of prize, but I think that they have a decent amount of effort in them from the various pictures and stories that I bring forth to the blockchain. Having gotten a bit of a slacking habit on that writing though, I've felt that I needed to get some things back on track and high on that list is getting more of the thoughts out of my head and into a post, committed to the blockchain at some point in the future.

I'm not the most organized person in the world, I can be a bit on the productive side and organized with certain things but one of those things that I really like being a bit more organized on is the post front. I prefer and do much better with getting some things written out and scheduled a few days in advance. I was doing really well a year or more ago where I was committing things out 2-3 weeks, and even at one point had a full 30 days of posts written and scheduled to be published! That one was intense for sure hahaha. I don't know if I could do 30 posts into the future again, because that was quite a lot of writing and I got a bit of fatigue doing that.

One of the added benefits as well is that I might actually be able to catch up on all of the photos sitting there in the queue waiting to get added to a post LOL. I added a snowman one recently from the winter, let's see how much I can get caught up on :D. I know that I've got a number of spring photos that are sitting in the queue, and I thankfully finished a beautiful crabapple series that I've been meaning to write for 2-3 weeks now. It feels good to be able to knock these things out, get them scheduled and get to add two or three posts to the queue for pending publication! It's as well nice to see the growth for my account that consistency brings. Posting every day has certainly brought me an additional audience of sorts to my posts, which has turned into some great engagement and certainly grown my friends network on here! I am really grateful of that support but as well being able to interact with all kinds of awesome people with different worldviews all rolled into some great comments.

I think the ability to get the posts written and scheduled for the future has really improved a number of things for me both mentally as well as here on the chain. There is absolutely a cathartic element to writing, and especially where there has been a number of things going on lately that I need to write and reflect on a bit. I'm looking forward to sprinkling little elements of those things into my posts as they come up. Not all at once of course, but a little bit here and there. Add a dash of one element and a bit of another, and I get the strange recipe that is one of my posts haha.
