Today I wanted to share a few photos from a recent, random snow storm we got in the middle of Spring!
Spring Snow Wednesday Walk
Spring and snow.. usually for me that means I go to the mountains!
Spring snowboarding is certainly a fun time. The weather is warm, and you can still get some skiing or snowboarding in. It's pretty nice to go down the trails with a T shirt on or minimal clothes instead of 10 layers and gigantic jackets.
The issue with this one here.. is that this wasn't the damn mountain! It was home LOL what are you doing Spring, are you drunk? Cut the shit :D.
The other day we had a random snow storm hit us.. and I don't think many people expected it, I certainly didn't!!
I know that there are a lot of things that go on in terms of the weather, and I'm not at all interested in silly climate narratives. One thing is for sure, the climate is NOT constant! Shit fluctuates wildly year over year! I think that's good and normal, because there are soooo many factors that go into it.
With this little snow storm that we got here, it was crazy! I looked at the weather a few days prior to the event and saw that it was going to be rainy and shitty, so I figured we would be inside for the duration. Nope, it snowed and I said fuck it I need to go out for a little walk and get some photos LOL. I love getting to pull in some unique scenery! It's not every day that you get to see trees sprouting their leaves, and getting snow at the same time, at least where I live.
What was also really fun about this excursion is that the place I went to was completely new to me! I've never been here before, and it was pretty close by which is always a plus. I will definitely be coming here a little more often, because it's a really cool spot and it's a decent size. One of the things that I didn't love is you could hear a lot of car noise, but it's give and take. You'll probably always get some of that, but oh well.
What was nice about this place is that it was a mixture of wild wooded areas, and nice groomed and cut lawns. Some places that are reservations or whatever this is, are one or the other. That makes it a little difficult to do different things here. I bet this would be a pretty good place for me to take my son to play some soccer or something! Lots of open green space and hopefully not a lot of standing water for the nasty critters to annoy us.
I was pretty lucky to have done it when I did though! By the time the afternoon came around, the snow was all melted. This was for sure a great way for me to get out. I was looking the other day.. sadly I haven't edited any pictures in over a month! What the hell batman, that's bullshit LOL
With this fun outing and walk, I made sure to get several dozen photos! Got a lot of use out of them, and will be having fun doing some edits over the next week or two. That should keep me busy until I get a bit more time to get out there and explore this place once more!
