Today I'm here with a fun but dangerously icy hike/walk the little man and I took the other day!
Icy Walk
The other day we had a beautiful batch of weather and I knew that I wanted to get out and take the little man for some type of walk or hike. We went to a totally new place in New Hampshire and it was a beautiful time indeed. What was crazy though was the amount of ice that was everywhere!
A lot of the places we've been to have their fair share of ice but this was the most considerable amount of ice we had seen yet! We were going up and down trails and everywhere we went it seems, we saw some really awesome new ice formations!
I guess it figures since the place we went was a mountain and it was on the windward side of it to boot. The parking lot, which I wrote about in another post recently, was an absolute disaster lol
We had a lot of fun turning corners and seeing what kind of amazing stuff we would encounter as far as ice formations were concerned!
There were a few bridges along the way as well and that meant these were streams or brooks that were running all year which was nice. I know we will have to come back when the weather has warmed up a lot more and the ice melts away. The trails were dangerous as hell!
I do love getting some really cool and fun shots of the ice though! I especially enjoyed this one. The trail we were on was completely covered in these little icy brooks. It was warm enough that the snow was melting and creating these extensive runoff networks but it was incredibly cold at night so it froze on top and made these awesome formations!
It was a hell of a difficult but beautiful hike that's for sure!
