There is a lot of hype over how much money people are making with splinterlands recently, be it renting or just how much their cards are worth now versus how little they invested, and there are some crazy ROI that some are bragging with. It's hard not to FOMO when a lot of people are making bank and also having fun playing a game, but I've learned an important lesson when everybody was praising Leo to the moon and back: once things start to get expensive it's a little late to jump in if you're not a whale. Not saying you can't jump on the hype train and also make money because you can, but for the average pleb I think the profits are small in comparison to the high risk because your initial investment is also small and can turn to dust if you don't make the right decisions at the right time. Like it happen with Leo, the hype train can transform from bullet train to a slow steam locomotive in a matter of weeks.
Many, myself included bought Leo when it was expensive with Hive, now Hive it's more expensive than Leo, so it will take some time before I will recoup my investment ( hopefully Leo will come back swinging) , understandably I'm not too eager to make that mistake twice. All that remains is some FOMO wrestling, besides I could use some more mental discipline :P
