Over the past few years the AI hype has been very crazy, 2025 and 2026 has seen the most significant use of AI in different sectors. Apart from the fact that we have a lot of programmers and coders using it..
I believe the biggest hype around it has always been about automating the money making opportunities that are possible with it, without that I think AI usage is basically for the minority: big tech companies and a few rich individuals who can afford to use it without really depending on the process to directly make them money.
Don't get me wrong, the hype around AI is inevitable, at some points, humans were bound to design systems that would scale automation. So AI is not just about making money, it's about human innovation.
It's just like transitioning from horses to cars.
In the past people dependent on hard labour to plant food, but over 300 years later, farming process is automatable, making it require less humans as the day go buy.
So a lot of systems and innovations engineered towards human invention is going to be built for convenience, more money making opportunities and the reduction of human labour.
Already, a lot of businesses are already building itself for self sustainability, they want to pay less while making more money. No one wants to exactly build systems that are requires a lot of capital and AI is exactly scaling this process and doing many more.
So basically AI owners and DEVs understands the market they're building. They know the system inside and outside, they understand the biggest need in the market, they know that content creation platforms are paying the most money at the moment, and a lot of people are keyying into these opportunities to make money for themselves.
The biggest selling point of AI is the money making opportunities around it, I don't think it's because it's another human invention that's supposed to replace an already existing one. Although this is what it actually is on a grand scheme of things, but it's even more.
One of the biggest selling point of crypto has always been the money, and let's be factual 2021 was the biggest year of crypto adoption, not 2013 or 2017, because even though those golden years had the most money, the biggest adoption came in 2021 when the market began to experience a lot of saturation as a result of the awareness of how life-changing crypto can be.
AI is quite different in the sense that it's only a raw material, you need to already have a venture that AI helps you scale.
For example, at the beginning of 2026, a lot of people were beginning to build AI rigs and setup that could help them scan and trade the market and make money with it on platforms like poly market. A few people went as far spending over $2000 on systems that could help them scan and trade the market in different platforms and market, and all these wouldn't have been possible without AI.
The point is, every innovative tech is always built around "money making" or "convenience" and which ever way you see it, they're all engineered at solving a particular problem which is indirectly or directly tied to money.
The only way AI tops of becomes less attractive is if the common man can no longer see or use it to make money with a very low cost of entry. At the moment the cost of entry is not cheap, but the money making opportunities are there, if you put your mind to it.
However, I believe these opportunities will only diminish with time when popular platforms begins to shutdown their systems to AI usage. I think it'll happen, why? Well obviously people enjoy abusing things.
Conclusion
It'll slowly become a necessary innovation that no one cares about, and honestly I see this happening in 3 to 5 years time.
The first models are like 3 to 4 years now, so I think AI is still in its earliest/hottest stage, but will eventually or slowly decline. It'll experience a type of decline that is usual when the money making opportunities becomes hidden and the popular methods to make money with it becomes saturated and less attractive.
Obviously everyone is currently exploring and loving it. I think the biggest companies will continue building AI solutions because they're obviously going to be doing this
the best use case at the moment is the apparent chase of monetisation in many platforms, and this will honestly stop in 2 to 5 years time, but, don't follow my word for it, do your own research because obviously AIs seems to be making money for a lot of people, and it's currently the new craze, but I believe it's going to top very soon and just like every other other Innovations out there, the main is currently crazy with what it can do, but, let's see how it goes.
