In this blog i will be talking about my daily routine (as per the title) hahaha.
So my day starts at 0430. This is purely by choice as don't start work until 0730. Some of you reading this may think bugger that waking up that early but there is a reason to this "madness".
When my alarm goes i roll over and walk to the jug and flick it on. My wife and I have to start the day with a nice strong black coffee. While the jug is boiling I jump into the bathroom and have a shave. When i have finished shaving the jug is boiled and coffees are ready to be made. While I am having my coffee I do my 5 minute journal. The 5 minute journal is spending 5 minutes writing positive things about your up coming. I will go into more detail in a future blog. After I have finished writing my journal I usually have about 5 to 10mins left before we have to leave the house to got to the gym. I use this time to either hurry up my 10 year boy, Yes he is doing the routine as well or help my wife out.
The trick to getting up so early is preparation the night before. Get everything you need for the day ready the night before. Get your lunch made, get your breakfast made, get your gym gear ready and sitting at the bottom of the bed, get as many things ready as you can to make your mornings easier.
We then jump in the car and drive to the gym. I am practicing handstands, rings and flexibility at the moment. Another future blog I think.
We spend about an hour and a half at the gym and yes my boy also jumps into the training. I couldnt recommend this enough. For those of you who go to the gym and leave your kids at home i highly recommend letting them join in, I have seen such and amazing change in my boys outlook on health.
We return home at about 1700 and 1730 depending on what we are doing at work. We then get stuck into the house work and dinner. The leftovers from dinner is saved for my boys lunch. I will prep breakfast (usually bacon, eggs, spinach and mushrooms) Everything is done by about 1900 where i sit down and write out my plan for the next day, contact anyone I need to and write out my steemit. My wife and I are in bed by 2030 where i read at least 10 pages of a book.
I know some of this may feel far fetched or to hard to achieve for some of you reading this. But as a wise man (Jocko Willink) once said. Discipline equals freedom. I highly recommend checking out his podcasts on spotify or his website http://jockopodcast.com/
Hopefully by writing more about my day, adventures and learnings i will learn more about myself, i will learn how to write better (as i need to do this in my job) and i will motivate someone.
