Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions. The term may also be applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving.
But, I don't see it like something really sophisticated. I think it's just a machine with a program based on an algorithm created by developers. They can set that the way they like or in the form they asked to do. So, it can be used for good or bad and it will be impossible to change that for regular people. We may have machines telling us what to do or giving us the permission. It can be programmed to punish those who will not be agree with their decisions. It can even have bugs and punish inocents.
With all the pandemic situation, imagine they create machines catching people without masks or golves, people not caring about the social distancing or just getting close to others by mistake. They can even apply that to those who gather more than a certain amount of people.
We may have machines instead of policemans. Machine without without any pity or emotions. They will not care about the difference between children or old people. They will never be able to judge like a human. We may have just an other world controled by those machines that are ruled by a few people.
You may say I watched a lot of movies or I'm losing my mind, but we weren't sure before about a lot of things we are sure about now. That's the progress and it can be harmful for humanity. Everything should have limits. Surpassing those limits will have consequences for sure.
