When the clouds roll in and the days seem dimmer,
Somehow I can always recall your shimmer.

I see through the haze and the pale white fog
and remember you, like counting rings on a log.

Expanding in every direction, I knew,
we're the same, how could I not recognize you?

We've done this before and we've played the game;
However it ends, it always starts the same.

The one thing that's certain, I could never doubt;
You are my reflection, the same inside and out.

You are my equal and it helps to remember-
when I hit another wall I have to dismember.

I don't have to understand, there's no need to seek;
The soul is aware, our connection never weak.

It comes in waves and reality shifts;
The path is the path and there are no rifts.

I can swim but get lost in the deep end-
and then you always bring me home again.

Rework of this one.
