Hello to all coffee lovers! How are you feeling today? Have you had your first cup of coffee of the day yet? This Saturday has surprised me with the best of energies, and a tremendous happiness from very early.
As usual, one of my morning habits after cleaning up and drinking water, is to have a cup of coffee. I usually prepare some in a coffee maker, but due to the lack of gas, we had to look for another alternative...
I never imagined myself manipulating an espresso machine, since I always preferred to see how others did it. I know that in Cuba it is difficult to get them, so I have always respected them, for fear of breaking them. However, under good instructions nothing can go wrong.
I found out that both the glass and the piece where the coffee is poured have the right measurement to make an ideal mixture. These are the kind of details you only see up close!
Still afraid, I added the ingredients... They had also given me a chocolate bar that I almost ate completely. This chocolate comes from Baracoa, the homeland of my mom, and these tablets are famous for their hardness and bitter taste, with little chemical processing. Luckily I was notified in time to save a small square, and they recommended cutting it into small pieces to add to the coffee.
I confess that I would never have thought of it, so it seemed very interesting to me. Then I just had to turn on the machine and the rest was to sit and watch the process. The coffee goes down gently and at the end the foam begins to fall. Once this process stops, more foam is added to the side of the machine. How wonderful!
I sweetened my coffee with honey (because chocolate hardly brought sugars) and I gladly enjoyed my super cup of coffee and chocolate. I didn't take selfies as usual because, having just got up, with tousled hair and puffy eyes, I seemed to be under the influence đ€Ł.
Have you guys done something like this before? I'm dying to know. All the photos used in this post are my property. Until next time!
