After a long day of travel, room accommodation, dip in the pool, shower and relaxation, the most desired moment of the evening is dinner. The residential structure offers a restaurant terrace from which it is possible to view the valley that surrounds us, hectares of cultivated land from which most of the products used in the kitchen derive.
The veranda is really very large, prepared to accommodate up to 300 guests, and if that weren't enough, the large internal room also offers a hundred seats. Meals are usually buffet-style, so after you've walked around the banished food tables and stocked up on plates, it's time to sit down and enjoy your dinner.
I am very excited and happy to spend these moments with my family. As a child I never traveled with my family to similar locations, so it's a bit like the first time. My son ordered his tomato pasta, covered in a layer of grated parmesan. My wife, on the other hand, preferred spaghetti with scampi, a very popular dish for those who live in seaside towns, like me. Instead, I preferred a mushroom risotto, produced by the local company, an excellent dish that I appreciated for its simplicity and goodness.
Another dish that really enchanted me is the grilled cuttlefish, this course is also very popular in seafood restaurants and it is essential that the cuttlefish are tender, otherwise they are annoying when chewing. A little lemon is the final touch that certainly helps to better appreciate the cuttlefish. Finally, a taste of local cheeses and cured meats, excellent products of Basilicata.
Wow! We've practically filled our stomachs with tons of food, but how can we not end a dinner with a nice dessert? Today dinner included a very simple slice of cake, sponge cake and cream, with an orange aftertaste. A simple cake that is generally liked by everyone, young and old!
