ni en la monta帽a se esconde;

A special greeting friends of #Hive Argentina.I get here motivated by the Initiative on Holy Week.

I want to share my experience of how you live in Cuba inside and outside the church.

Cuba is a secular country where more than 60 years ago the tradition of celebrating the Major Week has been lost, as it is also known to Holy Week.So consumerism associated with this holiday here in Cuba does not live.We do not know the Easter eggs

If not online, jjj. However, inside religions, mainly the Catholic, you live this week with fervor and recollection.

Since the beginning of Lent, the altars and ornaments of the churches are mauve or sack.An atmosphere of silence and incense reigns in the temples. From Monday the morning laudes begin, a type of prayer to start the day.

Another of the acts that is performed on the Crusis, the path of Jesus to Calvary.

Here I stop because I especially want to talk about this year's experience.

Several children in the community have represented the 13 stations in a sincere and magnificent way, as they do.The entire community vibrated with enthusiasm and devotion.

And so every day of the week the Church commemorates one by one the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus

The celebrations of the Last Supper, and that of the Sunday of Resurrection, are those where they attend more devout.

However, Good Friday is a day that by tradition all in Cuba respect. That day did not sweep my grandmother. Some claim that the ants house is filled, others simply that is a day of recollection and that no work is done until Saturday after 10 in the morning.

Nor is meat eaten, but bitter herbs such as lettuce and watercress accompanied by fish, which is now difficult to get.馃

On Saturday of Holy Week is called Saturday of Gloria.

And on Sunday at 5 in the morning they are seen to go to the faithful with a candle towards the Church to celebrate the resurrection.A great excitement awakens the people, where the joy songs fill everything.

Holy Week in Cuba is unknown to many generations, I do not doubt that many do not yet know what it is, it has never been free or festive for 60 and so many years ago of work or school so that families are linked so traveling in those days is not an option.Only after the view of Pope Juan Panlo II in 1998 it was decided to give Good Friday as a holiday meaning that the State respected the traditions of the Cuban people.

The churches have been doing a work of the rescue of popular religiosity and it has been good to see how in recent years there has been a greater opening to these celebrations.

I want to end by leaving them here a poem by Dulce Mar铆a Loinaz Cuban poet that always accompanies the celebrations of these days.

Who says God has died
that comes to light and see
whether or not the world is task
of a God who is still awake.
The desert is no longer its site,
Not even hides in the mountain;
Say, if they ask you where, God is without Mortaja
where a man works
And a heart responds. "
