updated photo, from this morning
Between mixing cob and using it to fix a hole and house a young caper plant, planting lots of seeds and tatties out of season, perusing our woodland for a suitable trunk to hold up our roof, and trying to keep on top of the dust and washing - I did my first Needlework Monday sewing session!!
And almost finished a new dress from an old sheet - including pockets! 😍🪷🤗👋🌺
(Just, don't tell Vincent that I cut up a perfectly good sheet!)
I made quick progress, draping the (fitted) sheet, pinning it, then using our (unusually, these days) full powerbank to machine sew the seams...
I added pockets made from a colourful old scarf, and pinned them in just as the light is going... (Woohoo: more rain!!!! We are BLESSED!!)
And I can't wait to finish it and photograph it better. 😍😋💃
It's a joy to share with you all: I've been gestating some ideas around homestead couture recently...
Hope to have at least one nice new dress this week - stay tuned and keep me accountable!
