Though I had boots and heavy trousers on, and though a strong breeze was blowing, I disturbed a shedload of biting insects who must've been well-nourished by my arms!
It was worth it! These bright fuschia beauties met me and jumped into my basket 🥰🎨🌈🙏💐
It was a powerful moment, eating my first pomegranate of the year, and savouring the magical perfection of each grano as I ruminated on the connections between the melagrano and Venus/ Aphrodite, Cyprus (where I lived for some years), my amazing artist friend from Cyprus Katie Sabry's glorious paintings with the fruit - one as an ode to Gaia Sophia, and my own use of imagery from this glorious plant's cycle of bud-flower-then-fruit - which for me are such perfect symbols of vitality-beauty-colour-form, and the sacred wisdom of the feminine hidden in plain view...
I ate two today - one in the daylight and one now later and in the dark; it feels vibrant, special, luxurious, messy richness - a small, perfectly-imperfectly-formed ritual connecting elements if my life and the mystical world, fruits just ripe enough to eat - a blessing from the less-easily-accessed part of the garden, as I ruminate on the recallibrating of my birth-date and my sovereign identity, on the eve of the anniversary of my having journeyed out of my mother's womb...
Power-full times...
