A Peek into My Garden Today: From Watermelon Leaves to Tiny Pink Stars
The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul. - Alfred Austin

Good day, Hive gardeners!!
How is your garden doing? I hope everything is thriving and yielding. 😊
I love sharing my pretty orchids, roses, and hibiscus. I've also shared the greener side of my garden, where there's chilli, papaya, ginger, and dragon fruit. But today, I'll share other types of plants I have in my garden.
I have lots of flowering plants, so let's start with the colorful ones.
💖 I have the red double-layer hibiscus here. It looks smaller than the other types of hibiscus I have, but it's just as beautiful. It doesn't produce as many flowers as the others, but that's what makes it more special. You'll truly treasure each flower it produces because you'll never know when the next one will bloom.
* Let me just insert this yellow hibiscus leaf. 😁
It looks so nice against the other dark green leaves. The color also intensifies because I took this photo before sunset. Looks like a lovely glowing leaf.
We also have this white Madagascar Periwinkle, commonly called Chichirika or Rosas de Baybayon. People grow this plant to help control diabetes and for other health benefits. They are also easy to grow.
This is a Star Flower or Starcluster, known as Pentas in my country. Each started out so cute and tiny. They look even prettier when they bloom. They look like tiny pink stars.
This is a watermelon variety of Alternanthera ficoidea. In some places in the country, this is called Lupo or Lupo-lupo. This one looks interesting. I love how its leaves turned from green and yellow to green and pink, just like a watermelon. 😁 It has small white flowers that grow on the stem. This is mostly used in landscaping.
This is a Variegated Pisonia, or a Lettuce tree. It looks simple and pretty.
This is our croton plant. This plant is really common in my town. It is usually used for landscaping because of its bright colors. I remember we used to have a variety with long, swirly leaves. I loved those plants when I was younger. But since they grow so fast, my mom doesn't like thick foliage to avoid snakes and other insects hiding in there, so she cut them down. Now, we only have a few crotons in the garden..
I have lots of other plants to share, but I think this would be all for now. I hope you liked the photos I shared today.
Thanks for dropping by 💗
Have a wonderful day ahead. 🌞
