Almoooost there!
Tantalisingly close....
The skirt is heavy, so I'm just contemplating cutting it all in two, and re-serging it so it'll be stronger - and cutting the top section of bodice too....
It's great to be learning so much 'on the job': this is the first time I've used the serger (overlocker) machine, and the first time I've made a reconstructed coat.
It has involved a lot of patience and perseverence! I've tried to keep at it until (at least phase one of!) completion.... And not get blocked. It's not a project to lay to the side - there's too many hurdles needing solutions, throughout the process, and keeping up momentum is core...
I'm off to cut some weight off - eek!!
