Simply The Best - A Tribute to the Queen of Rock n' Roll

It's hard to process that this incredible woman has left this world. She truly made the world a better place and was an absolute idol for young women everywhere. An inspiration to rise up from abuse, an inspiration to absolutely rock the world EXACTLY as you are and to be unapologetically authentic.

I recorded this video, 3 years ago (hard to believe) before @jasperdick and I started making music together. It was during the hard Covid Lockdown of 2020. This time was so weird as it was both the worst and the best time of my life (that is @zakludick's tshirt on that teddy 🤣😍 I was missing him so much and this way I could pretend I was getting a hug from him. We got a taste of long distance dating during this time and it sucked). As I all thought the world was ending, it was a good enough reason to put my fear and self doubt away and took out my songfile in their place and started writing, singing and even recording myself.

This song was a request from two very special sisters - Twins, actually - who went to junior school with me. Funnily enough, they were actually pretty mean to me about my singing, but now, as adults, they have given me more support than anyone online. They requested this for each other as Tina was so special to them. A theme song for their sisterhood.

It was an absolute honour to do this song for them and I am still so proud of it.

Filmed on my mobile phone that was suspended from the ceiling with sticky tape, Prestik and string and with no microphone, I was brave AF... even though I was shaking the whole way through the video.
