There's still, even in this day and age, such a terrible stigma around mental health issues, and what's really said, is not matter how neurotypical someone is, everyone struggles at some point or another. It's like we're hardwired to be judgy instead of being helpful, well because its the lazy solution - we don't have to get involved, and somehow it makes us feel better because at least we're not that messed up?! Right? sigh I'm grateful to be surrounded by people who want to break this cycle. Besides. What does a little kindness really cost us after all?
