Brotherhood: Miracles can happen to anyone, in any situation, as long as the person learns from it and changes for the better, like Jules Winnfield does.

Jermaine J: So basically the guy shot blanks at them, since the bullet holes are already in the wall before he comes out the room. Cruel joke for his friends to play on him, it got him killed.

quantenmoi: There are no bullet holes in the wall during the earlier scene when Jules is talking to Brett and shoots Flock of Seagulls. They only appear after Jules and Vincent shoot Brett. Some of their own bullets must have ricocheted and/or changed trajectory inside Brett's body and exited while they were shooting him. They were probably Vincent's bullets, since he was shooting in the general direction of the wall. So, as is always the case in real life, there is a perfectly rational and earthly explanation for the supposed miracle. There also don't seem to be any extra holes after the Fourth Man (aka 'Jerry Seinfeld') shoots at them. So, his bullets were either defective or blanks.

Patrick Ciacco: This would have been a way better movie if Travolta and Jackson hadn't played in the movie. Nick Nolte and Bruce Willis would have been ideal for those rolls. As a matter of fact that's the only thing I don't like about this movie,Travolta and Jackson.

EPM 101: This by far the worst scene in the film. The bullet holes in the back of the wall already being there, the sloppy cinematography, etc. I’d argue this scene alone justifies Zemeckis beating Terrentino for Best Director.
