A PROFESSOR'S VIEW ABOUT A SKULL

I walked into a professor's office this afternoon to ask a question on jurisprudence. I was agape on what I saw in my professors table.
I have not seen a human skull before and now I saw two human skulls in the professors table of which one was facing the entrance to his office while the other is facing him. I felt very uneasy as he asked me to sit down after greeting him. He gave me the answer to my question and even went further to give me a brief lecture on jurisprudence. After my encounter with him I stood up to go, but still contemplating within me as to if I should ask him why he displayed human skulls in that other . I finally resolved and acted according to my instincts which is to ask him. Sir please can you explain why you kept those skulls in your table I asked innocently. He smiled and asked me to seat back. When I sat down my professor gave me a shocking lesson of reality which he derived from those skulls, and I felt I should share this life changing lesson to friends on Steemit. He started by saying

"my boy when you understand some principles of reality, then there is need to let it remain fresh in your mind so that it can help shape your philosophy, attitude ,and disposition .when I looked at that skull it tells me that it has once been like me and I have never been like it, and one day I will be like it." I walked away from the professors office speechless because the imminence of death has been a part of reality I never like hearing or even thinking about.
