Hi there. I'm new here on Steemit. Just a short intro, I came here six months ago but I didn't post any because I was overwhelmed. This would be my third post and here are some questions that I had in mind while trying to learn how to Steem.
1. How many posts are allowed in a day?
I read on a post that the optimal number of posts in a 24-hour period is four. Now, my question is, how does the Steemit 24-hour period work? Is the 24 hours end-by-midnight-thing? If so, what is the Steemit timezone?
Or does the 24-hour period follow the time each posts were published? For example, if I submitted my first post at 8:00 AM, the 24-hour is 8:00 AM this day up to 8:00 AM the next day?
Or really, this is not relevant at all?
2. How do I earn and how do I convert the Steemit money to raw cash?
I am still confused about the Steemit monetary. I see that on each posts, there is the $dollar thingy at the footer section. There are also the STEEM and STEEM POWER on the Wallet page, and then there is the Estimated Account Value.
How are these related to the actual amount that I'm going to receive?
And I honestly don't know what that Bitcoin is all about. All I know is that it is a virtual currency that could be sold in exchange markets. Or it could be used to purchase goods that accept Bitcoin currency. Gosh, I'm confused and ignorant. Any links that could guide a beginner like me with regards to this topic?
3. What is the exact rate Steemit pay for each post?
Is there a specific rate Steemit pay its Steemers/contributors? For example, are we getting paid like 1 cent per view or like? Is there a time of a day we are paid more because of traffic?
4. What topics should I write about?
Should I aim on writing one particular topic only?
Or could I publish different topics of different genre, under different tags?
5. What are allowed images I can insert within my Steemit posts?
I've read that we can use copyrighted images, as long as the images are given credits to. And I know that we can use those free royalty stock photos. Anything else I need to know?
6. Do we earn from the number of views from non-Steemit-members?
For example, I shared an article in my social networks and the post earned views from non-members of Steemit, do I still earn from those views?
I still have some questions in mind but I think they're silly and you might find too ignorant of me. I hope that there is someone out there willing to help a beginner like me. I would really appreciate any help that I could get. Thank you in advance!
