For foodies, Osaka is a great place! There are bunch of places where you can eat cheap good food. Like this Udon/Soba noodle place that I stumbled onto where you can get a basic Udon Noodle for 170yen! That's approximately $1.55USD.
I've actually ordered myself a tempura udon which actually came out to 250yen ($2.28USD), but I think that is still a good deal. The guy had all the noodles and hot broth premade so the service was quick too and the noodles tasted good!
If you are on a budget like me, this is a great place to go for a quick bite to eat.
