Besides the traditional American pancake, letโs try the Japanese style this year without any baking powder or baking soda!
Simple ingredients but much more fluffy just like a souffle๐ฏ๐ต!
Of course it is a perfect match with our Matcha and Hojicha Milk Spread๐ต!
You can simply spread on top just like butter, or mix with a little milk then pour on top!
Beat egg white with mixer in medium speed until frothy. Then add sugar in a bit at a time. Beat until the egg white becomes a glossy thick meringue with a peak.
Take 1/3 of whisked egg whites and whisk with the yolks until incorporated. Then transfer half of the yolks mixture to the egg whites and fold gently with a spatula. Finally fold the remaining yolks mixture with egg whites.
Heat an non-stick pan with low heat. Brush a little oil. Then scoop a large batter onto the pan. Cover with lid and cook for 4 minutes.
Add some more batter on top of each pancake. Flip and cook for 4 minutes more with lid.
Once the pancake cooked and turned golden, serve on plate with powdered sugar and our Hojicha/Matcha Milk Spread. And then Ta-Da! Donโt wait, just eEnjoy immediately๐คฉ!
