If you want my humble opinion (and who does!)
What i think hive could sure do with, is not so much developing but making it easier for others to use whats already been developed.
One suggestion for desktop would be to add mouseovers to what a button does.
As opposed to, 'what this button do?' oh!, it deletes all replies, ok.
To mouse over 'will delete all replies. maybe not click this then. just an idea.
Stuff like that, that dont really need a re write or development of code, but how to use the code thats already been developed.
Being an old programmer, this was one of the problems i had, cos we live in 'code land' a lot of stuff we take for granted as known or common sense, means totally nothing at all to a user.
i.e. to create a message in bastyon it's the '+' sign.
No first time user is ever going to associate a '+' sign with 'make a comment'.
