Still working with free stuff here, just to prove my point. And in 7 days this app is not going to be available for free anymore (aka I think I have to pay to republish it again). I don't know what replit does to it afterwards... unsure if I can just wait for another few days and then publish it again.
Either way, I want to see what code this generated, and link it to a private repo (for now) on my github. Then if I am comfortable with the crap this generated, I will make it public.
New version improvements
Added node selection with ability to select a custom node (decentralization above all)
Fixed some minor "duplicated things" and some bugs when switching between different timeframes.
Added a 3 hour option and a custom hour option (beware this takes a bit to fetch all data).
Added a multiple account filter with max hops to make the visualization easier
When filtering for accounts, if these were previously in a "Others" bubble (orange) then it will drill down the bubble and expand it. Still have to improve this...
Will show a double circle around the filtered accounts and single circle into the immediate linked transactions accounts.
Known bugs or TBF's
I know a couple things that still need proper fixing, so I am just going to write them down here as notes for myself.
Have to make it static the zoom, when the user zooms out or in, and a block arrives with more transactions, currently is doing some sort of reset to the default zoom.
The mouse over "Others" type bubbles (orange bubbles) show all the accounts in the bubble, but then the user has no way to scroll down or mouse over a specific account.
Maybe we can make this interactive instead of mouse over, allowing exploration and expanding the "Others" bubble from the clicked accounts, or simple move the clicked account out of the bubble to visualize it independently.
When the graph is very large (aka lots of bubbles, the performance is crap)
There is a "maximum" "zoom out" (maybe increase the limits)
Add a view finder, to make the user understand where are we looking inside the entire space of transactions.
Optimize some calls being asked to Hive API node, to avoid rate limiting so hard. I haven't even review what is being asked.
In some situations updating the filter does not update the visualization, and one has to select a new timeframe or refresh the page in order to try again.
Optimize overlap of transactions arrows so that they don't cross each other so often
Maybe remove the "direction" legend because this was for the initial draft and is not correct anymore or not visible to the user.
Maybe add an option to see "X blocks" after block Y. Static view (no updates). Good to study specific situations where interpretation time is required.
There are probably more, so if you spot anything let me know below.
I am considering...
If I am going to pay for it, or just keep developing via github.
Unsure yet, because I don't have enough experience from the other vibe coding tools in order to compare.
I might just expose the code, and then people if you want to contribute or develop on top of the idea, feel free. But lets see first where I can go with this.
If you are considering paying for replit and haven't yet tried it, I would appreciate you using my referral, as I can get $20 free (if/once I upgrade), and you will get $20 too: https://replit.com/refer/forkyishere
Feedback is appreciated
