Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies
Hello Steemits, it is almost Valentines Day. These peanut butter no bake cookies are my better half's favorite. So I decided to make him these as a Valentine gift to him. I used this recipe http://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/peanut-butter-no-bake-cookies-129040 . It had a 5 star rating so I decided to try out this recipe. The cookies turned out delicious. They are very rich tasting, and very sweet.
Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups of rolled oats
Directions
Using a large sauce pan , add milk, sugar, and butter. Bring to a full boil on medium heat. Boil the ingredients to a full rolling boil and boil it for 1 min. I used a candy thermometer , when it got to soft ball stage ( 234 to 240 degrees fahrenheit) I took it off the heat.
When the ingredients is at soft ball stage, take it off the heat then stir in the peanut butter until melted in the ingredients. Next, add the vanilla, 1 cup at a time, add the rolled oats until all three cups are added.
After all the ingredients is mixed, drop a spoonful of mixture on parchment paper or waxed paper and let it cool.
